The neighbourhood where the Raco de Buenos Aires is situated, ‘El Barrio de Almagro’ (the Almagro neighbourhood), is said to be the birthplace of tango, and the place to which most Italian and Spanish immigrants arrived at the start of the 20th century. This is an historic building which has been sympathetically restored and houses just 13 rooms, each with a unique design. This is a friendly hotel just 3 km from the famous Obelisk, the Fine Art Museum and the Colon Theatre.

The Standard rooms (16 square metres) have an ensuite bathroom with shower and bath, a queen size bed, air conditioning, mini-bar, Satellite TV, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, WiFi internet access and safety deposit box.

Superior Rooms have the same facilities but are larger at 20 square metres.

Deluxe Rooms are 30 square metres with a double bed or 2 twin beds.

Suites are 49 square metres with and have one double bed.
