Overview - Hotel Park View
The 2 star Hotel Park View is a good, practical option for tourists wanting to explore Old Havana and spend a bit less on accommodation.
On a narrow street facing the less than picturesque façade of an old building, the Hotel Park View is just off Prado (a broad, tree-lined promenade) and around the corner from both the seawall and several places of historical and cultural interest (including the splendid Cuban art building of the Fine Arts Museum).
The lobby is narrow and its furnishings are clean and simple, offering a pleasant, welcoming feel to it that is not without charm.
Discrete and comfortable, the Park View continues to profit from what has always been one of its chief privileges: a great location near both the old and modern parts of Havana. Just off Prado, the Park View is around the corner from the Museum of Fine Arts and a short walk away from the seawall (which affords a magnificent view of the lighthouse and Morro fortress). The Capitolio and Gran Teatro are also a brief stroll away, and nearby Obispo leads you straight to the heart of the Havana’s colonial centre.
Accommodation - Hotel Park View
The Hotel Park View has 55 rooms which are comfortable and practical. No rooms lack windows, but 15 of the rooms face a neighbouring building which does not make for a picturesque view. 16 of the street-facing rooms (located on the 2nd and 5th floor) have balconies and couples will probably prefer one of the 15 rooms which have matrimonial beds (the 40 remaining rooms are twin-bedded). Most rooms are fitted with showers and only 20 rooms have bathtubs.
Room facilities include:-
• Phone
• Satellite TV
• Safety Deposit Box
• Private Bathroom
• Cold & hot water
Children aged 2 - 12 years stay free of charge when sharing with 2 paying adults.
Restaurant and Bar - Hotel Park View
A fascinating view of the city is afforded by the Prado, a modestly appointed restaurant on the top floor.
