Overview - The Red Lion Hotel, Prague

This former ancient burgher house is situated in the historical centre of the city, right on the "Royal Route" in close vicinity of the main entrance gate to Prague Castle.
The first written records of the house date back to the 15th century. The well preserved basement rooms are from the Gothic period. Renaissance style is reflected in the the painted beam ceilings while the entrance portal is the result of the Baroque reconstruction of the house. Later adaptations brought new architectural elements, amongst which, the most outstanding are the classicist ones. The last reconstruction faithfully preserved the historical character of the building.

Accommodation - The Red Lion Hotel, Prague

The hotel offers just 25 rooms with shower/bathroom and the rooms have been beautifully refurbished to the highest standards, providing a graceful, yet homely ambience for clients to relax in.
Subtle and interesting colour combinations, quality fabrics and fine furniture enhance the character of the rooms. All of the rooms feature bath or shower, hair dryer, mini-bar, refrigerator, safe, Satellite TV and telephone.

Bars and Restaurants

When it's time to have dinner, The Restaurant sets exemplary standards of excellent cuisine and service. A wide range of tempting dishes is prepared by the hotel's chefs in the tradition of the finest Czech or International cuisine and it is to ensure that you will enjoy the very best in taste and quality.
The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Seating is available for 25 guests. We offer Czech, international and vegetarian cuisine. It is also an unforgettable setting for your wedding banquet or graduation celebration.

Tavern
Whenever you become thirsty you can have a glass of wine or an original Czech Pilsner Beer in our tavern. Its interior is pleasant even in the hottest of days, thanks to the centuries old stone walls.

Bar
The hotel bar is located in an original 1350's limestone cellar is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Come and choose from a wide variety of mixed drinks, or just have a good cup of coffee in this original Gothic setting.
