Bars and Restaurants
Seahouse Restaurant & Terrace
Our chef and his kitchen staff take pride in serving an appealing and innovative menu. We respect the seasons and prefer fresh local ingredients; our herbs and greens are grown in the manor garden. At Pädaste Manor, you might just find that interesting culinary combination that combines the sophistication of the city and the wholesomeness of the countryside.
The warm and stylish, but relaxed atmosphere of the Seahouse is the right setting for a delicious lunch or dinner. The terrace overlooks the meadows to the sea and makes a great place to watch the sunset with a glass of good wine.
The Seahouse Restaurant is open every day between 12.30 and 22.00
Spa
It is our pride to make you enjoy a truly relaxing time in the personal ambience of our small SPA. The oils, crèmes and skin-spreads are daily fresh prepared by our therapist. We only use pure & natural ingredients of the highest quality in our SPA kitchen.
Muhu's wood-burning sauna, herbal steam bath, a seawater hot tub at the bay, hay and mud baths, body masks and massages are some of the SPA services available. To complete the relaxing experience, we suggest you take time to unwind on the comfortable deck chairs on the Spa's terrace. Lounge, reward yourself with something refreshing to drink, and enjoy the unforgettable view of the bay.
MUHU WOOD-BURNING SAUNA
A local tradition. Enjoy your private wood-fired sauna with view over the pond towards the bay. Great to tone-down before a massage, or enjoy our sauna just at its own. Follow local traditions and ask for a "viht"; a bunch of young birch branches to stimulate circulation.
HERBAL STEAMBATH
A relaxing and cleansing treatment, on itself or as a preparation for a body treatment. We offer a choice of pure natural aromatic essential oils or freshly ground herbs for a soothing, relaxing or invigorating experience.
SEAWATER HOT TUB AT THE BAY
Take a hot bath in the pristine nature of the bay. In our tub, the healthy and slightly saline water of Pädaste Bay is heated with a wood-burning oven to a comfortable temperature that makes bathing enjoyable even on a cold and crisp winter day. Watching the sun go down and stars come up makes our hot tub the favourite place to spend a romantic hour.

Stop Press: Award for Padaste Manor!
Pädaste Manor is 2009 Grand Award winner of Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report:
Pädaste Manor is one of 20 fine hotels worldwide recognized by this year's Grand Award by Andrew Harper. The award has been bestowed on only two hotels in the Nordic and Baltic region; Hotel Nimb in Copenhagen and Pädaste Manor in Estonia.
Andrew Harper's Hideaway Report is an independent monthly publication aimed at affluent and sophisticated travelers. For already 30 years, traveling incognito and always paying his own way, Andrew Harper and his team is recognized as the ultimate authority on luxury travel.
Each year, the Andrew Harper team recalls their travel experiences over the past 12 months and singles out a number of particularly enchanting hotels and resorts for special recognition: the Grand Award.
"To be considered for Hideaway Report's annual awards, properties must be relatively small in size and possess strong individual personalities. They are also required to have relaxing atmospheres and to demonstrate a consistent devotion to personal service." says Andrew Harper.
He adds: "Hotels are not evaluated solely by means of a checklist. Rather the jury relies on decades of experience and that intangible summary impression that separates the good from the truly enchanting. All our award winners offer the traveler comfort, warmth and charm, as well as a spirit of sincere hospitality."
"It's a great honour to us, that we have been presented in this prestigious list together with such great hotels as Ca' Sagredo in Venice, The Four Seasons Florence or the Hermitage bay in Antigua." says Martin Breuer, co-proprietor of Pädaste Manor.
Pädaste Manor on the island of Muhu is an island escape with a picturesque view to the sea. It's an innovator of modern Estonian cuisine, known for its natural spa treatments and set in unspoiled nature. Pädaste was the first Estonian hotel accepted in the prestigious collection of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The newly renovated manor house of the estate opened in 2008 and offers the ultimate in luxury and sophistication in the Baltic hotel market.
A Little History
Now joined to Saaremaa by a land bridge, Muhu is a much smaller island, yet it clings to its identity. It is home of Koguva, Estonia’s best-preserved fishing village, with all its buildings (dating to the 18th or 19th century) under historical protection. The stone walls that surround the houses are more than 200 years old, but the beginnings of the village reportedly date from the 16th century.
