The 3 star Kolonna Hotel in Cesis is situated in the heart of this historical and near to the city park. The hotel was built 1938 and its first name was "Tervete" later on it became Hotel Cesis. In December 2005 the hotel became a member of Kolonna Hotels Group.
This historic city centre is new to tourism and boasts the Castle of the Livonian order (1206), the Cesis new castle and St.John"s church (1284). Cesis is 90 Km from Riga, - a journey which takes about 1 hour 45 minutes by car.
