The 3 star plus Riga Hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre, just opposite the National Opera House and the Freedom Monument. Offering basic accommodation and suitable for stag groups. Built in 1878 it was the famous 'Hotel Rome' of the 19th Century but during the war the elegant ''Rome'' was destroyed and in 1956 a completely new, grand, six-storey hotel building was constructed. It was named after the capital - Riga - and has become a symbol of the city.
