Overview
The Residence Dar Mimosas, a lovely Riad, lies on the outskirts of Essaouira, on the coast and at near the estuary of the River Ksab. It is beautifully situated amongst the Mimosa plants and the sand dunes. All of the rooms are suites in the hotel and are between 120 - 300 sq metres in size. All of the suites are situated around the swimming pool in a 1.4 hectare park with direct access to the beach and river. This is a haven to thousands of birds and their birdsong is the only sound around.
Accommodation
Riad Suites are for two people, you have the choice of those with a sea view and garden view, these 2 suites are called Teimas and Tarfayas and they each have a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, fireplace, and terrace overlooking the whole property as well as the sea and gardens.
Chirmas, Cherardas are Riad Suites with a patio and private garden, they are 150 square metres in size and have a bedroom, bathroom, lounge, fireplace and terrace.
There are four Royal Suites which are independent villas consisting of two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with twin beds. Each of the rooms have en-suite bathrooms, a big lounge with a fireplace and a small but well-equipped kitchen. Each suite has its own terrace leading onto a large patio and private garden with fountains.
Bars and Restaurants
In the dining rooms you can savour the delights of traditional Moroccan cuisine or have your dinner in your own suite. Breakfasts are substantial and varied with local specialities. During the day drinks and soft drinks from the mini-bar are complimentary. The restaurants are situated in the Main House on the Ground floor and there is a large terrace where it is very nice to have breakfast.
Other Facilities
There are extensive gardens and at the heart of these, amongst the flowers and trees is a swimming pool with sun loungers too.
There are a number of activities nearby which you can do, such as horse riding, camel riding, windsurfing or simply walking in the natural countryside.
