Overview

La Maison Bleue was built as a family palace in 1915 by Sidi Mohammed El Abbadi, a famous judge and astrologer of the times. Its location near Bab Boujloud is within easy walking access of all the monuments of Fès el Jedid and Fès el Bali. Today, Sidi Mohammed's grandchildren keep the spirit of the house alive by opening it to guests. You will find the house a haven of peace in the heart of the bustling Medina of Fès.

Accommodation

Once you have crossed the threshold, a long corridor leads to an courtyard surrounded by three Moroccan salons. On the 1st and 2nd floors are five deluxe and one single room each with ensuite bathroom, telephone, television, internet access, air conditioning, minibar and safe.

Other features of La Maison Bleue include a delightful atrium, a reading room and a rooftop terrace with superb views of the entire medina. It also boasts one of the most distinguished restaurants in Fes.
The library with its oil paintings, beautifully bound books and letters written in perfect calligraphy will keep you spellbound for hours .
From the rooftop terrace you can survey the ivory-white city of Fès spread out before you.
In the evening, you will relax like a pasha on brocaded divans in a candlelit salon while waiters in pantaloons and babouches serve you subtly-spiced, aromatic traditional dishes that are a feast for the eye as well as the palate - an abundance of cooked salads, succulent lamb tajines, bastillah, oranges with cinnamon and orange flower water, mint tea and pastries.
Before you retire, one of the staff will discreetly ask you at what time you would like to take breakfast. When you awake and look below into the courtyard, you will see it being prepared for you. The aim of Maison Bleue Spa treatments is to unite the physical and the spiritual. This is achieved though a selection of environmentally friendly plants, herbs and oils carefully chosen for your pleasure and well-being.

Body treatments :
Our own Orange Blossom Water Massage: a body massage using long, languorous movements to soothe the body and aid digestion.

Toning Massage : A body massage using three essential oils to improve circulation and muscle tone.

Oriental foot massage: In the pure Moroccan tradition and combining essential oils of tea and lemon, this massage provides total relaxation.

The traditional Moroccan Hammam is an age-old tradition that provides multiple benefits. It warms the body, cleanses and hydrates the skin.

Indulge in a treatment of you choice or a Hammam package, which includes an aromatic steam bath, a body scrub and a body treatment.

Saboun beldi scrub: Traditional soap based on olive and eucalyptus oils and applied to the whole body before a body scrub using a special Moroccan glove ( one use only). This process removes all dead cells from your skin leaving it silky smooth.

Scrub with natural salts, orange blossom and flower petals: A natural body scrub for a silky, radiant skin.

Ghassoul body mask: based on a local clay, softening and toning. Applied to the body, face and hair.

White clay or aromatic henna wrap: for soft moisturised skin.

"Royal Hammam": stimulates blood circulation, tones and firms the skin. The body mask is based on clay and aromatic oils.

"Traditional Hammam": body scrub with black soap to purify the skin before application of a body mask of local clay enriched with plant extracts, essential oils.

"Thousand and one Nights": You are enveloped in a mystic and fragrant mist. Time stands still. Everything appears to be in slow motion as you forget the stresses and frenetic pace of modern life. Let yourself go and let us take you into our peaceful haven.

"Ancestral Hammam": this treatment is based on age old methods where the body, spirit, water and perfumes come together in a very special experience.
