Overview - Palais Jamai Hotel
The famed 5 star Palais Jamais Hotel has been favored by discerning travellers since it became a hotel in the 1930's. Built in 1879 by the Grand Vizier to Sultan Moulay Hassan I, this 19th-century, superior first-class hotel has an exotic decor and overlooks the Old City.
The Moorish-style palace and its lovely Andalusian gardens were the setting for Paul Bowles' novel, The Spider's House, which chronicled the fall of the French Protectorate in Fez in the 1950s.
The Palais Jamais Hotel is surrounded by a magnificent Andalousian garden, inside the old city walls, bordering the Medina of Fez, which it dominates (classified as a worldwide heritage by UNESCO). It is 15 kilometres from Fez Sais Airport and 7 kilometres from railway station.
Accommodation - Palais Jamai Hotel
