The Riad Magellan, in the heart of the antique street, near Place Jemaa el Fna, reflects the travels of Stephanie and Philippe, the owners of this riad, who have combined traditional Moroccan objets and furniture collected from their journeys.This elegant riad offers calm and serenity in the heart of the medina.
Accommodation
There are a total of just 6 rooms in the riad, each one differing in decor and design.
Chambre Rouge: Decorated all in red, this is a duplex which looks onto the garden patio. There is a corner salon and a spacious bathroom in beige tadelakt. Decorated in Marrakech red to energize you for your long promenades in the busy markets. This is a Junior suite which can take a maximum of 3 adults.
Chambre Bleue: A harmonious room featuring soft shades of colour and curves. Located on the ground floor, you will be assured of silent nights before the morning prayers of the Muezzin. This is a standard room with 2 twin beds and accommodates a maximum of 2 adults.
Chambre Prune: A spacious room on the first floor Gallery. You will be fascinated by the two beams of light that add to the mystery of the room. Prune and beige in harmony throughout, including the bathroom. This is a standard room with a double bed and accommodates a maximum of 2 adults.
Chambre Orange: In tadelakt beige and soft orange to give pleasure to the eyes. This harmony of colour will relax your senses after the frantic hustle and bustle of the Medina. This is a standard room with a double bed and accommodates a maximum of 2 adults.
Chambre Verte: A cosy room decorated in chocolate and varying shades of green to give an intimate and peaceful atmosphere. A touch of brass in the bathroom adds lustre to the chocolate tones. This is a standard room with a double bed and accommodates a maximum of 2 adults.
Chambre Beige: A calm room where themes on beige calm the mind. This is a standard room with a double bed and accommodates a maximum of 2 adults.
Bars and Restaurants
Breakfast is served in the riad and you can order lunch and dinner too. There are two terraces which overlook the medina and here you can relax with a mint tea or relax with dinner.
Other Facilities
The riad is very private and personnel are discreet and couteous. You can languish in the jacuzzi in the riad or if you have a particular desire then the staff will try to help as much as possible.
