Overview - Kossak Hotel
The 4 Star Kossak Hotel is sister hotel to the popular Senacki and is located in the city centre at Plac Kossaka. Built in 1935 this building belonged to one of the famous Jewish mill owners in Krakow and in 1995 the building was sold to the present owners. This seven storey building has been renovated and adapted with the reception, lobby and restaurant on the ground florr, hotel bedrooms on floors 1 to 5, a conference room on the 6th floor and an observation deck with a multi-purpose room on the top floor.
Accommodation - Kossak Hotel
There is a total of 60 bedrooms in the hotel including 6 double rooms with queen size bed, 49 twin rooms, 4 family rooms which have a sofa bed in them and one room which is especially adapted for the disabled. Some of the rooms overlook the courtyard and surrounding burgher houses, and the rest overlook Wawel Hill, the River Vistula and the Old Town. All of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms equipped with hairdryer, telephone and heated mirrors. Most of the rooms have a bathtub, just 9 have shower only.
Each room is equipped with a 26 inch television set, radio, telephone, mini-bar, safe, coffee and tea making facilities, WiFi internet access and air conditioning. The 5 suites are corner rooms with a queen size bed, a lobby overlooking Wawel Hill, the River Vistula and the Old Town.
Bars and Restaurants
The Percheron Restaurant and Lobby bar has a separate dining area for large parties, they are air conditioned and can seat up to 100 diners. The Percheron Restaurant is open from 7 AM to midnight for all guests. 24 hour room service is also available.
The restaurant cater for the needs and tastes of individual guests, business people, delegates and diplomats as well as participants of various events, training courses and conferences.
There is also a Fitness Centre (100 m2,) featuring a workout room, sauna, massage parlour, IR cabins. The hotel provides a laundry service and a public car park is available at the foot of Wawel Hill.
The seventh floor with a floor area of 150 m2 comprises an observation deck as well as 92 m2 of usable floor area under a glass room.There is a cafeteria and bar here and this can be used for events and a dance floor can be constructed if you wish too.
The club room and the observation deck are ideal for wedding receptions, dancing events, and business dinners. It is also a place to wind down after a busy day and enjoy your coffee, cocktail or dessert. The place will feature home cinema and sound systems. The observation deck will offer a breathtaking view of Wawel Hill and the royal castle, the Old Town surrounded by Planty (green passageways), and the skyline of the whole city.
Our conference centre located on the sixth floor can accommodate 170 people altogether. There are 3 conference rooms (for the total of 140 m2) and a foyer (52 m2) at the disposal of participants of conferences, symposia, training courses, and various presentations. The top floor observation deck can also be used for conferences too. All of the conference rooms can be expanded by opening the sliding doors to make a larger room. In addition to air-conditioning systems, they have state-of-the-art audio-visual systems, Wi-Fi Internet access.
All visitors to Krakow must pay City Tax locally, this amounts to PLN 1.60 ( approx 0,50 euros) per person for each day of their stay. This should be paid at time of check in.
Children are exempt from paying.
