    Overview - Pod Roza Hotel, Krakow

    The wonderfully located Pod Roza is Krakow's oldest hotel. It is an elegant four star hotel right in the heart of the Old City. Pod Roza means 'under the rose' and in times gone by Balzac, Liszt and Tsar Alexander II stayed in the hotel. Today's owners have continued the tradition of elegance, and at Pod Roza you will find understated old world charm, combined with light modern touches throughout. Each room has been individually furnished and is unique in furnishings and decoration.

    Accommodation - Pod Roza Hotel

    The hotel has just 54 historical rooms and 3 suites. Each room has en suite shower/bathroom, Satellite TV, telephone, mini-bar and hairdryer. Each room is different in size and decor and the rooms are furnished in a contemporary manor but reflect the historical traditions of the hotel too.

    Bars and Restaurants

    The hotel has a well respected Italian restaurant, 'Amarone'. Amarone Restaurant is open daily from noon. There is also a second restaurant the Pod Roza, in the historic yard, it is decorated with beautiful, Renaissance portals and has a bright, spacious interior due to the glass roof.The menu changes according to the season.
    For wine-fans there is the Vinoteka with wines come from various regions of Italy. The Vinoteka is open daily from noon on.

    Facilities and Services

    There is also a coffee-bar and conference halls.

    City Tax

    All visitors to Krakow must pay City Tax locally, this amounts to PLN 1.60 ( approx 0,50 euros) per person for each day of their stay. This should be paid at time of check in.
    Children are exempt from paying.
