Customer Reviews of Lybid Hotel
The hotel is not so strong on the fancy part, with no pool or fancy gym or lavish restaurants, but is a pretty good choice for tourists like me who intend to spend the entire day touring the city, and seek a nice, clean, comfortable room to come back to at night, close to the city center, at a reasonable price. The only problems were with the beds. First, even though I booked a room with a double-bed for four nights (or so I was led to believe), we were given a room with twin single beds for the first two nights, and only then got a double-bed for the next two nights. Second, the beds (whether single or double) were too soft - the mattress was rather cheap, and the bed bottom was not a solid platform but rather, consisted of a few belt-like strips, resembling a hostel-like bunk-bed, and thus not giving the mattress sufficient solid support. Also, breakfast was kind of spartan, and the food was mostly stale without much selection - hardly comparable to that in a fancier-category hotel.Still, for the good price I paid through your site ($427 for four nights), I was more than satisfied with what I got in return.TF (Germany), Wed, 06 Jun 2012 10:49:00 GMT
I ONLY STAYED ONE NIGHT AT HOTEL LYBID IN KIEV, AS I WAS ON MY WAY TO ODESSA.IT WAS FINE AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. TO WALK INTO KIEV CENTRE TAKES ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES. THERE ARE ALSO FREQUENT BUSES TOO, WHICH COST NEXT TO NOTHING, IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE LOCAL SERVICES. THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE, BUT I IMAGINE WILL BE MORE EXPENSIVE IN THE SUMMER. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.THE MAIN RAILWAY STATION IS CLOSE BY TOO, WITH MINI BUSES TO BORISPYLAIRPORT.HOPE THAT THIS HELPS. ASK IF YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS.BJ
i recently used your service (again) for a trip to Kiev, Ukraine. I stayed at the Lybid Hotel. This is a very nice hotel. It is in the city center of Kiev. The staff are pleasant and helpful. The acccomodations are good. The restaurant is good and the breakfast included in the stay was very convenient. I will use your service again and I will plan to stay at Lybid during my next visit. Breakfast -- good
Reception desk -- good , bilingual
Good value when prebooked through your service.
Negative: Security stopped my girlfriend on the elevator, apparently thought she was a prostitute. Lobby and bar are stinky from cigarette smoke.

Dear Sir,ME, Tue, 09 Nov 2010 08:41:00 GMT
It was very nice and confortable staying in the Lybid Hotel.
We enjoyed our days in Kiev and at the Lybid Hotel. The booking and payment "worked well". The staff was friendly, the room clean, the breakfast buffet rich. One thing we didn't like was the hurry the waiters and waitresses were in to clean our table although we were still sitting at it and obviously eating... However, they left the dishes and the food when we told them to do so.AS, Sun, 17 Oct 2010 09:49:00 GMT
