We're staying 3 nights at this hotel, and have had a good experience overall. The hotel is well-located in the heart of the Old City, but it is a bit off the road and is very quiet. Furnishings are old (antique?) but nice, and the bedding is comfortable. The bathroom is small, modern and attractive -- except that it has one of those showers with no curtain, where one has to go to great lengths to avoid getting everything else wet. The room comes with no amenities except a bar of soap.

The room is very clean, and has a lovely, clean shared balcony looking out over the Old City and, in the distance, the Presidential Palace and the Sameba Cathedral.
Breakfast is good, and carefully measured out -- one piece of cheese, one piece of ham, one yogurt, one freshly made omelette, juice, tea or coffee, and a basket of sliced bread with butter and very thick jam.
The 3 or 4 staff members (possibly all family) are friendly, but only one has a working knowledge of English. As we speak no Georgian or Russian, this was a minor problem one morning when, during our showers, the water suddenly completely stopped! However, the staff members on duty quickly passed the phone to one another until they understood and were able to correct the problem.
Overall, the hotel is a fairly good value for the money, and we would probably recommend it to friends.
