I was very happy with Hotel Sovietsky. I love those old Soviet hotels as I have been working in Moscow 28 years. Hotel Ukraina was my favourite many years as well I had my own flat when I lived 8 years in a row.
Service good, staff very friendly
Breakfast great.
I will book through next trip.

I searched all over the Internet for a room at the Astoria Hotel in St. Petersburg during March 2010. Select-A-Room had by far the best price... and breakfast included! At the hotel itself, there were no problems whatsoever. I got my room and breakfast too - again, for a great price. I realize (note the spelling) that your company is based on the Continent, but this is one American who will check you out first the next time he travels overseas.

I truly enjoyed my three days stay at hotel (Aster). It is perfectly situated in a very charming surrounding, close to the highlights of St. Petersburg. The service was excellent, the staff very gentle and helpful and the breakfasts very rich. I will certainly come back to your nice and comfortable hotel . Best wishes

The Holiday Inn is a reletively new hotel, a little way out of the centre, but near a Metro Station. We had a very comfortable room overlooking the main road, which was very entertaining watching the daily commute for the locals in the snow. The staff were polite and accomodating especially with the language differences.
All in all I would be happy to recomend this hotel
