Customer Reviews of Sokos Hotel Presidentti
Dear Madam/Sir,PP, Thu, 01 Sep 2011 10:47:00 GMT
we were happy with the service with got from your agency but disappointed with the service we got from the hotel staff.
We arrived late on 11th June so we got the worst 2 rooms in the hotel right on top of a bar which was extremely noisy. We asked if we could change rooms and they said the hotel is fully booked and there is no available rooms for that night. At the same time another person came to the reception to the change his room (apparently his room was dirty) and he could change. We got an explanation that he was in a smoking room whereas we wanted a non-smoking.
We were quite unhappy because we would have thought the hotel would make an effort in giving a room with a better location to customers who are staying 5 nights (we would think often people stay only 1-2 nights). We were told this is usually the case but this time it didn't happen. The hotel staff was well aware of the problem of these rooms right on top of the bar and just arrogantly said there was nothing they could do with the problem apart from trying to call the bar owner. Luckily we could change rooms in the morning but the first night we slept very badly due to the noise.
We got the impression the hotel was not well maintained and taken care of. The hotel advertises that it was fully renewed in 2007 which can't be true based on the state of the bathroom, also the cleaning was not that good. Another thing was the key card which was used also in the lift. The system worked badly and often 5 people in the lift had to try their key before we could make the lift move. Also the internet connection was bad, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The hotel did not offer a possibility to connect with a cable which would have been necessary for me since I could not take care of an important work related matter due to the unstable wi-fi connectivity.
Once again, we would book a room through your agency - we got friendly service when we called your agency but Hotel Presidentti we would not recommend.
Booking Ref FL189251, your service was realy good and i would use/recomend you again.AFAF, Mon, 07 Feb 2011 10:14:00 GMT
Don’t expect too much from this hotel, like from most hotels in Finland. But this hotel has everything essential, hotel is clean and perfectly located, staff is well trained. I can recommend this hotel for both purposes – business and leisure. Moreover, when in Finland (I visit it several times during the year) I try to arrange my stay precisely in Sokos Presidentti. I think this hotel is the best option for stay in Helsinki, of course if you want to pay reasonable price.RB, Sun, 14 Mar 2010 20:55:00 GMT
