Morocco is a country that will surprise you. The offer of places to visit in Morocco is quite varied. From busy medieval cities to desert excursions; from relaxed beach towns to scenic mountain ranges.
Place to explore include the three of the imperial cities: Meknes, Fez and Marrakech, one of the top beach destinations in the North of Africa, Essaouira; and the commercial capital of Morocco, Casablanca.
Travelling around Morocco is much easier than maybe expected. The public transportation network is excellent. There are train lines from Fez to Casablanca, and from Casablanca to Marrakech. Public buses are also an option to consider. Another option to move around Morocco are the public taxis. Renting a car is also recommended. Most roads in Morocco are in excellent conditions. Traffic is light.
One of the things to take into account is the weather. During the summer season temperatures are extremely high. The best seasons to visit the bustling Imperial cities are early Spring and late Autumn.
Morocco is a country that is developing fast. Its people are quite friendly. You won't be harassed as in some other countries in the region. Bargaining is almost an obligation. The Moroccan cuisine is not very varied, but it is excellent. Especially if you enjoy spicy meals.
