Anapa with a population of 57 thousand is located at the Black Sea coast of Caucasus. Anapa was a turkish fortress before 1829. It was raised into the status of city in 1846 and became a resort city in 1866. Modern Anapa is seaside climatic and SPA resort.
The main places of interest are the kept Gate of Turkish Fortress, the Archeological Museum - a reserve with rich assembly of antique subjects.
